Social Groups and Clubs
Many people never get the opportunity to get close to an owl let alone hold one. Owls-4-u can provide that opportunity and in so doing promote an understanding of these wonderful birds of prey.
For the younger age groups we can provide material and ideas for organisers to set up workstations based on owls from pictures to colour to a selection of casts to open so they can find out what the birds have been eating. As well as these activities keeping the children occupied whilst waiting their turn to experience the owls they also provide the opportunity for them to learn and practice their coordination skills. Once all the children and helpers have had their turn to hold an owl time permitting we will answer questions from the group and give a talk on the birds. The photographs which provide a memory of the experience will be loaded on to DVD for distribution as the organiser see fit.
